This Ocean County Homeschooling wiki will be used to explain the Ocean County Homeschooling blog, a place for homeschoolers to keep in contact with each other and share news and find support. To my knowledge, we have no such forum for old, new or just potential homeschoolers to connect with one another in our county. It is my hope that eventually other homeschool support group leaders and advocates will join as authors of the blog to post their information whether it be homeschool tips, events, conferences, legal information, changes in contacts, leadership, activities...anything about homeschooling in Ocean County, New Jersey. While I will be the person launching this project, my vision is to have the blog led by other homeschool leaders throughout the county.
Below you will find each section of the blog explained. This wiki is written with the beginner in mind to assist them in navigation, while parts of it serve to contain information such as a calendar and chat platforms.
I don't know how this will all work, if it will be used or how it will be used. Feel free to comment and make suggestions, whether anonymously or include your first name and last initial only.
This blog is open to anyone homeschooling, regardless of their religious or non-religious orientation or whatever their reasons. In other words, all homeschoolers and homeschool supporters are welcome!
